BOYS BOWLING INFORMATION

We will have a team meeting on October the 23rd at the Dugout in Central Point, OR.

If you are a returning bowler please bring your uniform from last year. I need to get them collected so I know what I have and don’t have…

The Dugout is the Old Cyber Center Building..It is located behind Southern Oregon Subaru and in front of Cascade Christian High School. It will be at 12:00 PM.

Please be there if at all possible.

WINTER SPORTS 2022-2023

We’d like to congratulate our #5 ranked Crater girls basketball team for winning their 1st round playoff game last Friday night at home against Wilsonville 81-45!! They have advanced to the State Championships at OSU and will play #4 ranked Putnam Tuesday March 7th at  3:15 pm in the quarterfinals.

For those who are not able to make it to Corvallis but want to follow the team…below is the link for live streaming coverage by Table Rock Sports through the NFHS Network. There is a $11.99 subscription fee but it covers all the games for the entire week. You can also listen on OSAA Radio Network free of charge, just click on the “Broadcast” button located in the ribbon on the top of the bracket.

College Signing Announcements

Clara Bennett will be signing with The University of Chicago on a track & field scholarship. Samantha Payne will be signing with Southern Oregon University on a cross country/track & field scholarship. Please join them this Tuesday, March 7th, at 4:00 pm in the Crater gym lobby to offer your support and congratulations!

Hayden Walters and Sienna Caruso will be signing letters of intent with their respective Universities, both on wrestling scholarships, Thursday January 26 at 6:45 pm in the Crater gym. Wrestling dual vs. Eagle Point will follow at 7:20.

Hayden will be signing with the University of Michigan and Sienna with Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. Please join them to offer your support and congratulations!

Tyrone Gorze will be signing a letter of intent with the University of Washington on a cross country scholarship Wednesday, December 14 at 4:00 pm in the Crater Student Center. Please join him to offer your support and congratulations!

Joslyn Sizemore will be signing a letter of intent with Eastern Oregon University on a soccer scholarship Tuesday November 29th, at 4:00 pm in the Crater Student Center. Please join her to offer your support and congratulations!

We have two senior athletes signing letters of intent to their respective universities, both on volleyball scholarships. Kate Stidham will be signing with Central Washington University and Kendra Bittle will be signing with Corban University. Please join them this Wednesday, November 9th, at 4:30 pm in the Crater Student Center to offer your support and congratulations!

Kiana Hall will be signing a letter of intent with Lewis & Clark College on a Speech & Debate scholarship Thursday June 2nd, at 4:00 pm in the Crater gym lobby. Please join her to offer your support and congratulations!

Caleb Randolph will be signing a letter of intent with Bethany Lutheran College in Minnesota on a baseball scholarship Tuesday, May 10th, at 4:00 pm at Anhorn Baseball Field. Please come out and join him to offer your support and congratulations!

Bailey Holt will be signing a letter of intent with Southern Oregon University on a wrestling scholarship Monday, April 25th, at 4:00 pm in the Crater gym lobby. Please join her to offer your support and congratulations! Bailey is making school history by being the first female wrestler at Crater to sign at the collegiate level.

We have two Senior athletes signing letters of intent to their respective universities next week, both on Track and Field scholarships.

Carson Le Bel will be signing with Southern Oregon University and Walker Dorris will be signing with Cal Poly Humboldt University. Please join them Tuesday, March 15th, at 4:00 pm in the Crater gym lobby to offer your support and congratulations!

McKenzie Hirsch will be signing a letter of intent with The College of Idaho on a basketball scholarship next Wednesday 3/2/22 at 4:00 pm in the Crater gym lobby. We invite you to join her in offering your support and congratulations!

Winter Sports begin Monday Nov 14th. A current sports physical and participation permit must be on file in the Athletic Office to be clear to try out.

Mon 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the W. Gym at Scenic Middle School

FALL SPORTS RECAP 2022

Boys Soccer – League Champions! First time in school history!!! Congratulations Jason Tester….voted “Coach of the Year!”

Volleyball – League Champions with an undefeated league season!!! Congratulations Leaf Jensen… voted “Coach of the Year!” Placed 5th at State.

Boys Cross Country – League & State Champions!!!! 5 of the top 10 runners at State were from Crater. They also won the Nike Regionals and qualified for the Nike Nationals for the first time in Crater history!

Crater students – There is no re-entry after 6:30 pm, if you leave the game you cannot come back in! There is no student entry after 1/2 time.

·  NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED (Concessions will be available)

·  NO STUDENT BACKPACKS ALLOWED

·  MIDDLE/ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KIDS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT

Adults – $6

Kids (K-8) and students w/o SB Card – $4

All High School Students w/SB Card – FREE

Seniors (55 and over) – FREE

Reserved seating for football $8

Crater Track Twilight

  • Table Rock Sports is going to live stream the gold races at 7:50pm.  Here is the link: https://tablerocksports.net/
  • We will have a golf cart taking video during some of the races.
  • Kona Ice truck will be on-site.
  • Our School of Business will be selling Crater Twilight shirts for $20
  • Remind parents/spectators of the $5 gate fee
  • Awards shirts to the top 10 finishers in each race.  Those Finishers will be walked to our awards stand at the middle of the field and announced.
  • Top 3 teams will get an engraved Hydro Trophy
  • We will stack the start line with 10-14 runners and 10-14 behind the lead grouop.  The gold races will have 8 on the start line.  Please remind athletes that we have 30 runners in many races and the goal is not to get out and push into position. 
  • Athletes that get lapped will stay in their inside lane.  We have multiple volunteers helping with lap counting.
  • Senior night presentation is following the Boys Platinum 2 race (5:50).  Seniors and parents will be instructed to go out to the end zone and wait to be called out.  We are recognizing 52 seniors from 13 different teams.
